TikTok: Video currently unavailable - Fix

 

If you click on a video or saved TikTok link and get the error message "Video currently unavailable", here's what to do.

 

Go to https://ssstik.io, enter the URL of the video you cannot access and click download.

There you go, you have a copy of the video downloaded and can now view it.

Download Video from Youtube

Here are a couple of ways to download Youtube videos quickly and easily, most importantly it is free.

1) http://keepvid.com/ : This is by far the quickest and easiest.

2) Video DownloadHelper Firefox Plugin : This way is also easy but involves downloading and installing a plug-in in your web browser. Once the plug-in is installed restart Firefox Web Browser then navigate to the Youtube video you want to download, click play, you will then see the 3 coloured ball sphere(Yellow, Blue and Red) icon rotating next to the URL, click on it and choose to download video. This can be used to download videos from many different streaming sites.

 

I made this post as some people still do not know how to download youtube videos, and thought I would show the 2 methods that I prefer to use.

Pandigital WiFi Problem

Ok, so I bought a Pandigital Novel 7" e-reader with android OS. I will be writing a review about it soon, but I am making this post now because I had a problem with wifi disconnecting on this.

So you have a Pandigital tablet and your WiFi disconnects/drops and doesn't reconnect unless you do it manually? Well here is how I fixed it.

Log into your wireless router from your computer(by typing 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0. 1 in your web browser, google your model router for management IP and username and password.), once you've logged into your router go to "Wireless" settings, then under "Channel:" it will most likely have "Auto" selected. This is where you choose a channel number(I chose 8, you can experiment with different channels for speed and signal strength, different channels will offer different speeds and wifi range) Once you've chosen a channel click save.

Now that you've saved your channel, connect to WiFi using your Pandigital e-reader and it should no longer disconnect, and if it does it will Auto reconnect very quickly. No more wifi dropping on my Pandigital tablet.

XAMMP Redirecting

XAMMP Redirecting to splash. After installing xammp and going to http://localhost and clicking on a language, I keep coming back to splash page. To fix this you need to change the permission on the lang.tmp folder, enter the following:


chmod 775 /opt/lampp/htdocs/xampp/lang/lang.tmp

Now it should work no problem.

Block Youtube Video Ad´s

Here is how to block Ads on almost any website and those annoying video ads in YouTube.

First download, install Mozilla Firefox and use that instead of Internet Explorer or whatever else your using.

Now Firefox alone wont block the ad´s. You need to install 2 Add-on´s:
 1) AdBlock Plus
 2) NoScript

NoScript isn't mandatory to block the Ad´s but i find it very useful for stopping pop-ups and videos from automatically playing. With NoScript you´ll be surprised how many sites your browser connects while browsing your favourite sites.

Also by doing the previous you will reduce your monthly bandwidth usage by not having to load Ads.

Dell RAC Internet Redirect

Problems accessing drac over WAN? If your are having problems logging into drac from the internet try the following. Ive also heard this helps console viewer to work over the internet.

This fixed the problem of the browser being redirected to a local IP from DRAC interface over WAN.

Use TCP Redirector(on the remote pc you are on) to redirect port 5900 to your WAN IP(the public IP of the DRAC interface).

You should be able to access your DRAC interface over WAN/Internet and login.

Internet Explorer Operation Failed

Getting error Internet Explorer Operation Failed.

The best way is to Upgrade to IE 7 or 8 and do a system update.

The cause may also or instead be caused by a virus, so you may have to update your Anti Virus and run a scan. If you don't have a anti virus program download and update AVG Free and Malwarebytes Free version. (Virus and Malware are different so you will need both).

Once its updated run a FULL scan and remove any threats.

Online Virus Scanner

If you want a online virus scanner try TrendMicro HouseCall . However Im talking about if you want to scan a file against multiple Antivirus programs. For this purpose you should try VirusTotal or Jotti's Malware Scan . Now the maximum filesize allowed is 20MB, you upload the file and these websites will scan it with multiple programs and report its findings. VirusTotal for example will save the files hash so the next time someone uploads it or someone uploaded it before you, the last result will be displayed or you can choose to rescan.
